Shot (Through the Heart)

We took Mr. T to get his first round of shots last week. I was NOT looking forward to the whole experience and felt sick all the way to the doctor's office. All of the books tell you to foster a trusting relationship with your baby, but then tell you in the next chapter of the book that you should hold your baby down and allow a nurse to stab them in the leg for their own good. Now that's a trust building exercise if I ever heard of one.

To make a long story short, the poor baby cried his saddest cry for about a minute after getting stuck before becoming a happy boy again...and poor mommy survived the experience as well, even though for a brief moment it felt like somebody stabbed me in the heart. Lucky for us (as seen in the previous post), Tyler has some extra cushion in his legs that I think worked to his advantage to minimize the pain of the needle sticks. Thunder thighs to the rescue!

P.S. Angela & Jim - This song is for you guys...and for our waitress at Abuelo's.
